Public Support For HS2 Falling Across The Board

The latest tracking poll from YouGov, which you can read more about here, underlines the lack of popularity across the country for HS2. The poll confirms that a majority of supporters of all three major political parties now oppose HS2. The headline figure indicates a  majority (55%) of the British public now oppose HS2, up 9 points from YouGov’s last poll on the project in July 2013. Support for HS2 has dropped 5 points over the same period and now stands at 29%.

The Department for Transport continue to insist HS2 is on track-this poll would suggest otherwise.
