HS2AA Appear Today In Front Of UN Environmental Committee

HS2AA’s complaints against the UK Government and the European Union will be heard by the Aarhus Convention Compliance Committee today. HS2AA will be represented by Robert McCracken QC and Charles Banner.

The Aarhus Convention is an international treaty designed to improve decision making on the environment. The Compliance Committee is charged with ensuring countries follow the rules of the Convention.

HS2AA’s is bringing to the attention of the Committee the approach of the UK Government and Courts which did not properly consider alternatives to HS2 before proceeding with the project.
